Description: The African ostrich, scientifically known as Struthio camelus australis, is the largest living bird and a fascinating creature of the African wildlife. With its long neck and powerful legs, it wanders majestically through the dry bush. Ostriches are omnivores, but mainly feed on vegetation. Their impressive appearance and fast running speed make them a striking sight in the wilderness.
