Description: The Cape Buffalo, also known as Syncerus caffer, is an impressive animal that lives in small family groups or large herds. As a grazer, it also shows interest in leaves and herbs. The only natural predators of the Cape Buffalo are lions, while hyenas and crocodiles pose a threat to young calves. Although usually peaceful, injured or cornered Cape Buffaloes can become extremely dangerous. This striking portrait captures the strength and beauty of these majestic animals in their natural habitat.
