Description: The Bontebok, also known as Damaliscus dorcas, is an impressive species of antelope that lives in open grass and tree savannas. In the 1920s, the species was on the brink of extinction, but conservation efforts have saved them. However, they are still at risk of extinction. This photograph captures a young Bontebok hiding in the dense undergrowth of the Bontebok National Park in South Africa.
