Description: The majestic Blacktip shark (Carcharhinus limbatus) is a fascinating creature that inhabits the tropical and subtropical seas near the coast. With an impressive size of up to 2.6 meters and a habitat depth of up to 30 meters, it exerts a strong attraction on divers. During an exciting encounter at the 'Shark Rodeo' near Walker's Cay, Abaco Islands, besides the well-known Caribbean Reef Sharks, the elegant Blacktip sharks can also be admired. Due to overfishing, these fascinating animals are globally threatened and classified as endangered shark species. Their diet mainly consists of sardines, herrings, mackerels, flat fish, and other fishes.
