Description: The Blacktip Reef Shark, also known as Carcharhinus melanopterus, is a fascinating marine creature that inhabits the waters around Beqa Lagoon on Viti Levu, Fiji. With a maximum length of 160 cm and a grey-brown coloration, it is easily recognizable. All of its fins are tipped with a striking black color, as well as the edge of its tail fin. This species of shark prefers the intertidal zone and is often found in shallow waters. Especially at Shark Reef, the Blacktip Reef Shark is a common sight, captivating divers and ocean enthusiasts alike.
