Encounter with Blacktip Reef Sharks and Colorful Schools of Fish in Beqa Lagoon, Fiji (00017594)
Description: The Blacktip Reef Sharks (Carcharhinus melanopterus) are fascinating marine creatures that inhabit the clear waters of Beqa Lagoon in Fiji. With a maximum length of 160 cm and their distinctive gray-brown coloration, they are easily recognizable. These sharks are characterized by black tips on all fins and a black trim on the tail fin. They prefer shallow waters and are often found in the intertidal zone. Encounters with Blacktip Reef Sharks are almost guaranteed, especially at Shark Reef.
