Description: The blacktip reef shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus) is a fascinating shark species that can grow up to 160 cm in length. With its gray-brown base color and distinct black tips on all fins, it is a striking creature. This shark species prefers the intertidal zone and is commonly found in shallow waters. Especially at Shark Reef in Fiji, the blacktip reef shark can often be observed gracefully gliding through the crystal-clear waters.
