Description: The majestic whitetip reef shark (Triaenodon obesus) and the impressive blacktip reef sharks call the Beqa Lagoon in Fiji their home. The whitetip reef shark is characterized by its grey-brown coloration and the distinctive white tip on its dorsal and caudal fins. It reaches a maximum length of about 200 cm and mainly feeds on bony fish around the reef. The blacktip reef sharks are equally fascinating and are often found in the company of the whitetip reef shark.
