Description: The Blacktip Reef Shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus) is a fascinating species of shark found in the tropical waters of the South Pacific. Growing up to 160 cm in length and sporting a gray-brown coloration, it is easily identified by the distinctive black tips on its fins. These graceful marine creatures are often spotted in shallow waters, such as the stunning Beqa Lagoon on the island of Viti Levu, Fiji. Divers can regularly encounter the majestic Blacktip Reef Sharks gliding along the coral reefs in this pristine marine environment.
