Description: The Blacktip Reef Shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus) is a fascinating marine creature that can grow up to 160 cm in length. Its gray-brown coloration and distinctive black tips on all fins make it a striking sight. With a black trim on its tail fin, it is easily recognizable. This species of shark prefers the tidal zone and is often found in shallow waters. The Blacktip Reef Shark is a common sight at Shark Reef, often surrounded by Scissortail Sergeants.
