Description: The Fiji Crested Iguana, scientifically known as Brachylophus vitiensis or vokai, vokai votovoto, is a fascinating lizard species endemic to the Fiji Islands. This rare reptile was first discovered in 1979 and is found on some small islands such as Yadua Taba in the Yasawas, Monuriki and Monu in the Mamanucas, and the northern coast of Viti Levu (Macuata Island). Due to its critically endangered status according to IUCN, protecting this unique crested iguana is crucial.
