Description: The Fiji Crested Iguana, scientifically known as Brachylophus vitiensis or Vokai, Vokai Votovoto, is a unique species of lizard found exclusively on the Fiji Islands. This particular reptile was only discovered in 1979 and is critically endangered. It inhabits the forests of Yadua Taba in the Yasawas, Monuriki and Monu in the Mamanucas, and the northern coast of Viti Levu (Macuata Island). The conservation status of the Fiji Crested Iguana is critically endangered according to the IUCN.
