Description: The Great Frigatebird, scientifically known as Fregata minor, is a fascinating seabird native to Eastern Island. With a wingspan of up to two meters and a weight of under two kilograms, they are impressive aerial acrobats. These birds mainly feed on flying fish, but also hunt squids and other surface-dwelling fish. Hatchling turtles and seabird chicks are particularly vulnerable. They are also notorious air pirates, attacking other seabirds to steal their prey. A captivating creature of the animal kingdom that will delight bird enthusiasts.
