Description: The Bank Cormorants, also known as Phalacrocorax neglectus, are endemic to the Atlantic side of the Southern Cape Province in South Africa. They inhabit the offshore islands along the coast and form flocks that venture out to sea for hunting. The increasing population of South African fur seals poses a threat to these fascinating birds, whose numbers have dwindled significantly.
