Description: The Red-footed Booby, also known as Sula sula, is a captivating seabird that calls Midway Atoll its home. These birds primarily breed on Eastern Island, with a population of around 750 pairs. When hunting for fish, they showcase impressive aerial skills by flying far out to sea and then plunging into the water from great heights to catch their prey. Their elegant appearance with white plumage, black wingtips, blue bill, and bright red legs truly sets them apart.
