Description: The Red-footed Booby, also known as Sula sula, is a fascinating seabird native to the Midway Atoll. Only about 750 pairs of these beautiful birds breed on Eastern Island. They are skilled hunters that fly long distances over the sea and plunge from great heights to catch fish. With their striking red legs and feet, blue bill, and black wingtips, they are a sight to behold.
