Description: The Red-footed Booby, scientifically known as Sula sula, is a fascinating seabird native to the Midway Atoll in the Hawaiian Islands. These birds primarily breed on Eastern Island, where approximately 750 pairs reside. Red-footed Boobies are impressive hunters, often flying long distances over the open ocean in search of fish and plunging from great heights into the water to catch their prey. Their appearance is stunning, with white plumage, black wingtips, a blue bill, and bright red legs and feet. The name 'Booby' seems inappropriate given the elegance and skills of these birds.
