Description: The Red-footed Booby (Sula sula) is a seabird native to the Midway Atoll in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. Approximately 750 pairs of these beautiful birds nest on Eastern Island. Red-footed Boobies are skilled hunters, flying far out to sea in search of fish and plunging from great heights to catch their prey. Their blue bills, brightly red legs and feet, and black wingtips make them a captivating sight. Despite their name, they are anything but clumsy, displaying grace and agility in the air and water.
