Description: The Red-footed Booby (Sula sula) is a fascinating seabird that inhabits the Midway Atoll in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. Only about 750 pairs of these elegant birds breed on Eastern Island. Red-footed Boobies are skilled hunters, flying far out to sea in search of fish and diving from great heights to catch their prey. They are recognized by their white plumage, black wingtips, blue bill, and bright red legs and feet.
