Description: The Red-footed Booby, also known as Rotfußtölpel or Sula sula, is a fascinating seabird native to the Midway Atoll. Only about 750 pairs of these beautiful birds breed on Eastern Island. They are skilled hunters, flying long distances over the sea in search of fish and then plunging from great heights to catch their prey. Their striking appearance, with bright red legs and feet, blue bill, and black wingtips, makes them a truly impressive sight.
