Description: The Red-footed Booby, also known as Sula sula, is a fascinating seabird that calls the remote Midway Atoll home. Particularly on Eastern Island, one of the main breeding sites, you can admire around 750 pairs of these birds. Red-footed Boobies are skilled hunters, flying long distances over the open sea in search of fish and then plunging from great heights to catch their prey. Their striking appearance, with white feathers, black wingtips, blue bills, and bright red feet, makes them a truly impressive sight.
