Description: The Red-footed Booby, also known as Sula sula, is a beautiful seabird that breeds on Midway Atoll in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. With its bright red legs and feet, blue bill, and elegant black wingtips, it is a fascinating creature to behold. Particularly on Eastern Island, where only about 750 pairs breed, you can observe the Red-footed Boobies hunting for fish. They fly far out to sea and plunge from great heights to catch their prey. These skillful hunters are anything but clumsy - a name that does not do them justice.
