Playful baby cheetah exploring nature around a tree stump

Description: Cheetah/Acinonyx jubatus A curious baby cheetah has discovered a tree stump and is playfully exploring its surroundings. This adorable seven-week-old cheetah comes from a private cheetah breeding station near the Addo Elephant Park and is being nurtured to be released back into the wild. Cheetahs are the fastest land mammals, capable of reaching speeds of up to 120 km/h. Unfortunately, the population of wild cheetahs is declining rapidly due to habitat loss, poaching, and the illicit trade of their skins. They also face threats from farmers who view them as a danger to their livestock.
