Description: African elephants are fascinating and majestic creatures that inhabit the wilderness of Africa. An adult elephant can consume up to 200 kg of vegetation per day, including leaves, branches, roots, and fruits. They are the largest land animals on earth and are divided into two subspecies: the savanna elephant (Loxodonta africana africana) and the forest elephant (Loxodonta africana cyclotis). The savanna elephant lives in the dry forests and savannas of Africa, reaching a shoulder height of nearly three meters and a weight of up to 7.5 tons. Illegal ivory trade has significantly reduced the population of these incredible animals, exacerbated by the loss of their natural habitat.
