Description: The Cape Buffalo (Syncerus caffer) is an impressive animal that lives in small family groups or large herds. As grazers, they also have an interest in leaves and herbs. Their only natural predators are lions, with hyenas and crocodiles posing a threat to young calves. Despite their typically peaceful demeanor, injured or cornered individuals can become extremely dangerous.
