With its distinctive facial warts, especially prominent in males, it is a captivating sight. These herbivores mainly feed on grass and are often found in small groups. Despite their peaceful nature, Warthogs have many predators such as lions, wild dogs, hyenas, and eagles. The Desert Warthog Phacochoerus aethiopicus aethiopicus once lived in the Cape Province but was eradicated in the early 20th century.
