Description: Red-footed Boobys (Rotfußtoelpel, Sula sula) are majestic seabirds native to the Midway Atoll in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. These birds primarily breed on Eastern Island, where approximately 750 pairs reside. Red-footed Boobys are skilled hunters, often diving into the sea from great heights in pursuit of fish. With their striking features such as bright red feet, blue bills, and black wingtips, they are a captivating species.
