Description: The Red-footed Booby, also known as Rotfußtölpel or Sula sula, is a stunning seabird native to the Midway Atoll in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. These birds primarily breed on Eastern Island, forming a colony of around 750 pairs. Red-footed Boobies are skilled hunters that dive from great heights into the sea to catch their prey, including flying fishes and squids. They are characterized by white plumage, black wingtips, a blue bill, and bright red legs and feet. Despite their name, these birds are anything but clumsy, exhibiting grace and elegance in their movements.
